Turquoise, Red Jasper, Amethyst Circle Post Sterling Silver Earrings
Designer: Arturo Caceres
Mexico
The Story
These intricate sterling silver amethyst Mexican earrings were handmade in San Cristóbal de las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico by a native "chiapaneco" designer named Arturo Cáceres. Arturo harnesses his passion for his country and traditional artistry to create "folk chic" jewelry which utilizes indigenous techniques and vintage jewels to create wearable contemporary art that shows appreciation for its heritage. His inspiration comes from his travels around his country where he also acquires materials to use in his creations like amber, tropical seeds, mother of pearl, coconut wood, indigenous fabrics and .925 silver. His pieces are featured in some of Mexico's most important museums. I fell in love with his designs the minute I saw them, and I hope you will too! Enjoy these special earrings from a part of our world less traveled!
