JJ Caprices Goes to Bolivia!
Posted on August 01 2014
It is August which means the official countdown to my South American voyage has begun. If I was to write it in French, today is J-18 (jour...which means "day"...minus 18). Yep, I leave August 18th!
Oh, the places I will go!
5 Places I Will Visit in Bolivia...and Beyond
Bolivia is an incredibly unique, geographical diverse and vibrant country. I do read the people aren't always the most friendly but I look forward to trying to charm them with my American accented Spanish and smile :)...who wouldn't be, right?! Ha!
Jump over to my travel blog, One Girl's Adventures, to discover the rich itinerary this interesting country is allowing me to have. I am already in awe of the sites and experiences that await me....pink dolphins, the world's largest salt flat, indigenous people, traditions and language, breathtaking mountain views, Amazon animals (think piranhas too!), "deadly" bike trails...oh, and a side trip to those little known Inca ruins called Machu Picchu in Peru!
First Stop in Bolivia, the world's highest capital city, La Paz.
Lake Titicaca on the border of Bolivia and Peru. I will spend a few days here before I head to Machu Picchu.
As a note JJ Caprices will be 100% open for your shopping pleasure (thanks to our great team) while I am discovering if guinea pig (a delicacy in Peru) tastes just like chicken. :) Emails will also be responded to in a manner that is as timely as possible.
Go explore the full itinerary on my personal travel blog! I think you will be surprised at the wonders Bolivia has to offer! Let's also hope it has to offer some great new finds for the shop! Keep your fingers crossed...but I hear the silver work is incredible. I am also hoping to find some exquisitely embroidered shawls like ones I found from there in Texas several years back...

And to further steal from the great Dr., here is a quote for all of us!
“You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!”
