Machu Picchu - Why it Should Be on Your Bucket List!

Last year at this time I was planning my 4 week sojourn into South America.  Bolivia was the main destination, but knowing I would be so close to one of the "Wonders of the World" I couldn't go all that way and not gaze upon the famous ruins of Machu Picchu.

I made the trip into Peru as more of an obligation versus spiritual pilgrimage or journey to a dream destination, but my visit to the centuries old Incan site turned out to be one of my most favorite travel days ever!
